There were times when our local news should have been outside reporting the weather. The news was telling us it is sunny outside as we were watching thundering and rain drops big as cats and small dogs coming down.
You hit a gold mine of humor here, Supi. Watch out for the PC police though. "As cold as a midget in the refrigerator" ... We all know it should have been, "A little person in an icy-cube box."
Supi one of my friends and his wife was in Atlanta during this storm. They are from FL.And was stranded in Atlanta for 4 days trying to get a flight out.(By the 3rd day his wife was threating to jump out the window of their 4th floor hotel room)

Stopsign - My husband ended up spending the night in the Altanta airport one night. He was ready the next morning to push his airplane into the air.
