So far, two snakes made themselves comfy on the porch. A scorpion some how managed to get inside the house.
Yesterday at the bookstore I met a lady that raises chickens. She told me I need some guinea hens and/or chickens to keep the scorpions away. She did mention that the scorpions were bad this year. Now I am thinking if you have a bunch of chickens running around, then why are scorpions are bad this year.
She starts to talk about chicken snakes. She doesn't know the name of real type of snake these are but she calls them chicken snakes. These snakes are chicken eggs thieves. She told me to be careful when I take the eggs out of the nests inside the future chicken coop I will have because there might be a snake. I can deal with scorpions better than I can deal with snakes.
So if I get myself some chickens and/or guinea hens to eat the scorpions then this means my yard will be attracting chicken snakes.
She tells me I need to get myself some cats to keep the snakes away.
There's a lot of underbrush, so I am told that I need to get myself a goat.
The "little old lady who swallowed a fly" keeps running through my head.
