On Wednesday morning, the public welcomed the USS Laffey back to Patriots Point as the World War II destroyer cruised into Charleston to undergo repairs to its hull.
The Laffey passed under the Ravenel Bridge around 8 a.m. and is set to dock around 9:15 a.m.

Keads, Odie - The mini refrig in the computer gave a 1 diet root beer explosion salute to the Laffey return. The diet can is frozen solid.
