Painting Project
You can see the fine job my husband did on painting the trim. He didn't have any mishaps; however, I went flying off a step and managed to stay up right.
We are going to spruce up the front porch walls and doors with paint. I am not happy with my "no solicitors" hand painted sign. The mosquitoes were eating me alive when I painted it. What was in my mind to paint quickly faded to get it done and get inside ASAP.
My husband worked so hard to make the flower bed dirt nice and soft. Every cat in the neighborhood thanks him daily for his efforts. We love seeing our furry neighbor friends but not the gifts they leave.
One of the interesting things living in this part of Texas is majority of flowers sold here are for full sun. Apparently there is this false rumor that Texas doesn't have full shade any where. It isn't true. A little bit of our flower bed only has sun for about an hour. Every year, I do the flower planting challenge in this flower bed before the weedy flowers come up. The previous owners planted this flower that has an intricate root system. Any little piece left will sprout. This year we are surrendering to the flower but I did plant a some annuals after I took this picture.

Supi, Tell your husband his paint job looks great. Your sign is beautiful but does it actually work?
Like the angel in your garden too. Looks to me like those cats have plenty of room to leave presents~ lol
@Stopsign - I told my husband what you wrote. He thanks you.
Yes, the sign does work. We were having a problem with sales people asking nosey questions about our neighbors than telling us about their product. Just seem they were a little confused on what selling is. I look down on collecting information to go rob a neighbor of mine.
You're lucky, I don't think I'll see my garden until July this year. I'll let you know, but right now things are under a lot of snow.
Looks great!
@Odie - Do I dare tell you we are getting ready to pick the first strawberries of the season?
@Keads - Thanks. It is looking better. We are stopping for the day.
Looks great! Good luck with the flowers!
@JihadGene - Welcome.
@Deano - Hopefully we will finish up this weekend.
