Odds and Ends...

My dog is having a great week. The neighbor's Yorkie tunneled under the fence and visited one morning. There's a critter in my watermelon plants that my dog is trying to get. I haven't be able to see what kind of critter made a home in the garden yet. The plants now have trails through them. I don't know if my watermelon vines are going to stay in tact now.

For a few days here, it was thunderstorms. It was raining really hard when we were at the dentist office. A senior citizen caring for his senior dad came into the dentist office. When it was time for them to leave it was raining super hard. His son drove up on the sidewalk so his dad wouldn't get wet. His dad was so proud of his thoughtfulness but he wasn't too crazy about turning into the star attraction of the shopping center.

Well Yorkies were bred to be rat-catchers I believe, so the tunneling and critter catching instinct makes sense! We find smelly "evidence" of foxes in our garden .... but it's surrounded by a high wall so we've no idea how they get in.......

As a son, I felt it was my job to embarrass my father as he got older. After all, he spent my whole childhood doing it to me.

Cambridge - I wouldn't want to find smelly fox evidence. This critter whatever it is, is very small for now.

Odie - It was my mom that spent her life embarrassing me. The last years of her life, she went out in a blaze of embarrassing me glory.

I love that you are gardening watermelons. That is brave. Make sure you blog with pictures and all. I love to see home produce.

Hi Supi, I'm glad your doggie is feeling fine and having a fun week.
The watermelons sound very ambitious. I hope the critters don't eat them.
That was a cute story about the dentist pick up.
Have a nice Sunday.
