The creator of Dilbert is an ex-telephone guy. He got his start in the telephone (old Bell System) company newspaper. All of "we" telephone cable splicers suffer from "The Knack".

No wonder he can do his cartooning so well.
My family is full of the knacks.

Kelly - I was going to do some southern engineering for cheap aquarium lighting. I realized my assisting husband with MS, electricity and water.. is NOT a good mix.

TWP Thanks.

I shudder at the thought I should figure out this linking stuff. I miss the old school IBM360's. They didn't have a screen to look at.

This is too eerie, my dear departed mother worked for Bell Telephone Co. years ago before she got married.

I love Dilbert, he's my hero...I buy a desk calendar every year for like 14 yrs now. Great cartoon.

Kelly, I worked 30 years with Pacific Telephone (part of AT&T / Bell System)which changed names and finally was SBC when I retired. Now it's back to the AT&T that we all started with. Only it's SBC with the AT&T brand they paid for about 6 years ago.

@Odie, Yeah the Bell System seems to be pulling a T9000 Terminator on us. PacTel... I have a Case knife with the logo on it from the Telephone Pioneers. No matter how many pieces you break it into, they seem to come back together!
