The Air Show this weekend.

The US Air Force Thunderbirds arrived yesterday for the Airshow this coming weekend. They were having a good time flying around in the sky. Definitely eye candy of the sky seeing so many beautiful planes flying in.

The 12th Armored Museum plans on doing something at the air show. My son, whom is participating in WWII costume isn't saying what they are doing. Running on the ground during Tora, Tora, Tora?

Today's adventures!

A grackle smashed into sliding glass window. I was worried my Australian Shepherd Collie mix would try to run through the screen to get to the dazed grackle. She just stared at the grackle. She is definitely showing her age when she didn't even get excited seeing the bird lay on the ground flapping his wings. The grackle recovered and he flew off.

That's it for today.

Doughnut Shop

There is a doughnut shop on base is having all kinds of snafus. The bottom line his doughnut cooking vat and his grill hasn't been put in for various reasons. He, the baker, was asked to go buy doughnuts from any baker to fill in his baked goods display case by the AAFES manager so the bigger boss would be impressed with how things looked. She didn't get why he was insulted over putting another man's doughnuts in his display case.

Dyess Display Airplanes

Happy Easter.

Quite a few of the display planes are getting new paint. The volunteers are doing a fine job. This is the B-52.

This is B-17. My dad was a pilot in the Army Air Corp. He learned this fly this plane and the B-24. His B-24 plane crashed in Dakar,Senegal Africa right after take off. He went through the windshield and landed on his head. He was in a coma for a while. He woke up on Easter morning hearing hymns being sung. He thought he made it to heaven. He heard a voice cry out, "he's awake".

Globe Master with its new shiny paint. It is looking pretty.
