Today....

It was thundering, raining hard today. The lights in the house was flickering all day. Decided it was probably best not to start another painting if the power was lost.

West Texas Winter Sunrise.

This is an 18"x24 oil painting. The other morning the sunrise was absolutely gorgeous with colors. With the glorious morning colors of the sky as these, the promise of needed rain indeed arrived the next day.

Chickens On The Run

This is a small piece 11"x14" on hardboard that I sanded down and primed with several coats of gesso. I enjoy the process of making my own canvasses from boards. It is very relaxing.

While painting this the song Band on the Run kept running through my mind; hence, the title of the Chickens on the Run.
